5-Lane Obstacle Course

Key elements:

Trail/hill running, bodyweight exercises (burpees, pull-ups, squats, push-ups), grip training (farmer's carries, hanging), and practicing burpees (often the penalty for failure).

Obstacle course training combines running with functional strength, grip work, and obstacle-specific skills, focusing on endurance, explosive power, and agility to conquer challenges like walls, ropes, and carries. A good routine integrates running with strength circuits, often on varied terrain, and builds up specific skills like rope climbs and wall traverses.

CROCODILE RUSH is a dry obstacle course designed to train you for your next adventure race, or encounter with criminals. Test your current fitness levels and develop your co-ordination and strength, through either the 21 obstacle route or the 42 Crocodile course. You won't find long distances between obstacles to catch your breath. The course is about pure strength, agility, speed and determination. The different courses are designed in an arena style venue with back-to-back obstacles, each testing different physical and mental skills. There are 2 different courses of 1000m with 21 obstacles each, as well as the Croc course, offering 42 obstacles in within a 2km run. All the features are scale able for different levels of fitness and ability, from the seasoned to the first timers.

150-Metre Shooting Range

The 150-meter outdoor shooting range is a dedicated firearms training and assessment facility

Designed to meet the requirements of the South African Police Service (SAPS) and the Safety and Security Sector Education and Training Authority (SASSETA).

The range provides a clearly defined firing line with measured target distances extending up to 150 meters. It is constructed to support controlled live-fire training, competency assessments, and practical shooting exercises for pistols, rifles, and carbines, in accordance with approved unit standards and training outcomes.

The range is designed with appropriate safety measures, including substantial earth backstops and side berms to ensure effective projectile containment. The danger area is clearly demarcated, and access to the range is strictly controlled during live-fire activities. Safety signage, range rules, and standard operating procedures are displayed and enforced at all times.

The firing point is level and stable, allowing for safe firearm handling and consistent shooting positions. Target placements are accurately measured and maintained to ensure repeatability and compliance with training and assessment requirements. The range layout allows for direct supervision by a qualified Range Officer or accredited Instructor.

The outdoor configuration provides natural lighting and environmental conditions representative of real-world shooting scenarios, supporting effective firearms training, zeroing procedures, and proficiency development.

This 150-meter outdoor shooting range is suitable for use in accredited firearms training, competency assessments, and refresher training, and is operated in compliance with the Firearms Control Act, NRCS requirements, SAPS directives, and relevant SASSETA unit standards.
• 4x4 Off-Road Training Track
• Helipad - SACAA-Accredited Helipad

The helipad is a dedicated rotary-wing landing and take-off facility designed, constructed, and operated in accordance with the applicable requirements of the South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA), ICAO Annex 14 (Volume II – Heliports), and relevant Civil Aviation Regulations (CARs).

The helipad provides a clearly defined Touchdown and Lift-Off Area (TLOF) and Final Approach and Take-Off Area (FATO), constructed on a stable, load-bearing surface suitable for the intended helicopter types and maximum all-up weight. The surface is level, slip-resistant, and free from loose debris (FOD), ensuring safe helicopter operations during all phases of landing and departure.

The helipad is appropriately marked with high-visibility markings, including perimeter markings, touchdown markings, and identification indicators, in compliance with SACAA standards. Where required, lighting systems are installed to support operations under reduced visibility or night conditions, subject to operational approval..

Obstacle limitation surfaces are protected and maintained to ensure clear approach and departure paths. The surrounding area is regularly inspected to prevent the introduction of obstructions that could compromise flight safety. Safety provisions include adequate firefighting and rescue readiness appropriate to the category of operations, clearly marked safety zones, and established emergency response procedures. Access to the helipad is controlled to prevent unauthorized entry during helicopter operations.

The helipad is supported by documented standard operating procedures covering normal operations, emergency actions, weather limitations, communications, and ground handling. Routine inspections and maintenance are conducted and recorded to ensure continued compliance with SACAA regulatory and safety requirements.

This helipad is suitable for private, commercial, training, emergency, and operational helicopter use, as approved by SACAA, and provides a safe, compliant environment for rotary-wing aviation activities.
